ACAFF Leadership Team
Founded in Brazil, ACAFF, Academia de Futebol Feminino is a non-profit women’s football academy dedicated exclusively to the development of women athletes. More than a training institution, ACAFF operates as a cultural platform, empowering girls and women through sport, community, and collective identity in a landscape historically shaped by inequality and underrepresentation.
As the academy continued to grow, ACAFF approached Unspecials with a clear but urgent challenge, to build a brand that could reflect its mission with strength and visibility, while standing apart from conventional sports identities. The goal was not simply to look professional, but to assert presence, provoke conversation, and inspire belonging.
Rather than positioning ACAFF as just another football organization, Unspecials helped define it as a movement.
At the heart of the identity is fire, a symbol of passion, transformation, resistance, and momentum. Fire represents the inner force that drives every player, every match, and every collective effort to reshape women’s football in Brazil.
Instead of softening the message, the Unspecials team embraced intensity. The expressive AFF! logotype was designed to feel human, loud, and urgent, a mark that carries emotion, movement, and attitude. The exclamation point reinforces provocation, turning the name itself into a statement rather than a label.
Rather than relying on a static visual identity, Unspecials developed a flexible system built for energy and motion. Flame-inspired patterns, bold compositions, and raw textures form a modular language that adapts across uniforms, murals, photography, illustration, and digital platforms.
This system allows the brand to live comfortably in real environments, streets, courts, and community spaces, while remaining instantly recognizable. Illustration and imagery focus on real bodies, real expressions, and real emotion, rejecting idealized portrayals in favor of authenticity and collective strength.
A high-impact color palette anchors the identity. Red and pink dominate as symbols of power, femininity, and intensity, while black provides contrast and grounding. Together, they create a visual tension that mirrors the spirit of the academy, bold, unapologetic, and resilient.
This language translates directly into the team’s uniforms. Each kit embodies a different expression of the brand, from loud and confrontational to dark and focused, while maintaining cohesion through shared symbols, flame motifs, and typographic consistency.
